According to pwowrestling.net, former ECW Champion and WWE US Champion, Bobby Lashley has been telling his friends that he has signed with a small mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion on purpose with the intention of hoping to rank up with impressive wins and then move on to bigger MMA promotions such as UFC, EliteXC, or Affliction. Lashley is confirmed to be fighting for the American Fight League (AFL) twice in a non-exclusive deal. It's mean he will be able to continue accepting bookings from independent wrestling circuits.Sources close to Lashley say that he doesn't seem keen on TNA, even though people in TNA have been doing their best to recruit him. Lashley seems a lot more serious on his MMA career but will still continue to accept independent wrestling bookings. If TNA make Lashley a strong financial offer or if his MMA career doesn't kick off, we could see things changing.
